What kinds of projects receive support from the Kone Foundation? How can research and art be combined in projects; and what about multidisciplinarity and margins?
Melliferopolis project will be presented at the event. Melliferopolis is a trans-disciplinary initiative at the intersection of art and bio-sciences. The project is centered around honeybees, their role in urban eco-systems, the implications of keeping bees in the city and the function and properties of honey and bees as bio-monitors. Transmission and translation of these topics is done through artistic expressions.
Kone Foundation executive director and head of research funding will offer information on the renewed application process. Participants can also ask questions about applying a grant.
The language of the event is English. Other info sessions on 31 August and 21 September are held in Finnish.
