Applicants are instructed to fill out the online application form on, which on completion is then sent electronically to Kone Foundation.
The completed form must also be printed and sent along with the required supporting attachments before the closing date.

REFERENCE LETTER forms
For researchers applying for funding for doctoral thesis research, it is essential to include with the application a reference letter from the research supervisor(s) or someone else highly familiar with the applicant’s doctoral research. The relevant reference letter form can be accessed from the links below.
The research supervisor should be instructed to return the completed form to the applicant in a sealed envelope. The applicant should then post it, along with the completed application form itself and all other required documentation, to Kone Foundation no later than 30 September.
